A Box O Chocolates?!? Perhaps!?!

I wrote the words below, a year ago on Valentine’s Day when my uncle passed away.  In honour of my Aunt Margaret’s passing last week, and my grandfather’s passing this week, I have decided to share these words with all of you as I realize everybody goes through these experiences, and well, I share these words in hopes of aiding others on their journey through life….

Life is like a box of chocolates, isn’t that what Forrest Gump said?  Well, I am starting to think he may have had a point. Every time you select a chocolate, you never know what you’re going to get, it might be filled with poison, and this could be your last day on the earth plane, you could bite into one that is filled with tang and pazzaz which may represent meeting the love of your life or winning the lottery, maybe you pick out the chewy chocolate from the box and end up with a day full of indecisiveness, either way, it will always be a surprise.

How do we make it so there is no surprise, you ask? I would imagine, metaphorically speaking, if you read the cheat sheet that tells you what the flavours are, you can somewhat prepare for the result, you know, sort of like an attempt to make a plan in life. What happens with a plan? Well, we make them, and sometimes they work out from being organized and prepared in advance, though, there really is no guarantee in life, and even when making a “plan” it might not necessarily work out. You see, the chocolate truffle you have selected based on the guide you read could have been injected with nougat or cherry in error, or by quota. You know, kind of like there are no coincidences?

It doesn’t matter what chocolate you pick out of the box, what matters is what you do with that chocolate. Whether metaphorically speaking or not, so, take a risk today, and try a new kind of chocolate, because tomorrow’s bite could be filled with poison and your time might just run out before you were ready.

Impressions In The Sand…

When was the last time YOU went out to the Ocean and left your impressions in the sand???

It never ceases to amaze me how fresh and revitalized one looks and feels after walking on the beach… especially when brave enough to venture as close to the Ocean as you possibly can!

On Smiling

Smile in the dark, smile in the wind, smile when you’re on the bus, smile when you’re driving, smile when you are reading, smile when you’re walking, smile when you are on your phone, smile when you’re online, smile when you are inspired, smile when you are working out, smile when you’re creating, smile when you go for a hike, smile when you accomplish a new goal, smile when you wake up, smile when you go to bed, smile when you are buying groceries, smile at a stranger, smile at a loved one, smile at your friends… smile when its’ not expected, always.

JUST SMILE… LIFE IS MUCH TOO SHORT TO FROWN… besides, wouldn’t you rather smiley wrinkles than frowny wrinkles??? I know I do!

On Stretching!!!

Stretch often…  Stretch daily… Stretch for life!!!  Stretch and feel good!

It is important for us to release our daily tensions in healthy manners. The more we stretch and breathe the more we find constructive ways of releasing our pent up energies, thus reducing the risk of developing anxiety and depression.  By doing so, we have less desire to find negative ways of releasing those toxins.

Try this at home, or on the plane, or at work, or where ever it is that you have a few extra minutes in your day to commit to this task.  Just set aside 8 minutes per day, during the next 3 weeks, and find a spacious space, where you will not be disturbed and just “STRETCH

Stretch it all out.  Stretch that spine! Stretch those legs! Stretch those sides and feel good!!!

Preggers??  No worries and no excuses, just click here for some tips on stretching while expecting.

I guarantee you… if you do this… you will feel at least 10 times better than you do right now, at this very moment.
